Alderighi-Santilli Transforming images and moods into music was one of Marco Santilli's key issues when composing these jazz tunes. Another very important point was to write music for the clarinet that respects its manifold timbres, its range of almost four octaves and the vast articulation techniques. In this project, you get to hear the clarinet's smooth, creamy tone: warm and resonant low down, bright and clear up high. Marco is delighted to have Paolo Alderighi on board, a jazz pianist who is considered one of Italy's most important emerging musicians at an international level. Paolo's musical ideas are captivating and his play contributes greatly to these compositions. He simultanously provides the pulse, states the harmony and interacts with the clarinet using melodic fragments. Promo-CD available. Online mp3. Album to be released by the end of May 2011. The recordings were made by Urs Wiesendanger, Powerplay Studios Maur. Further information as well as excerpts from the repertoire can be downloaded.

Belli in zona A musical tribute to the Italian part of Switzerland. Together with the saxophonist Giordano Muto we aim to present our native land in a unique musical way. This project includes arrangements of folks music (songs, marching band music etc.), such as compositions of both musicians. The repertoire is a blend of classical tradition and modern language, lyricism and virtuosity, comic and melancholy without neglecting Jazz and contemporary music. The musicians play different instruments of both clarinet and saxophone family (in addition, vocals, didgeridoo and kazoo) continually seeking for sonorous fusions. The pieces reach all audience: from the village market place to the concert hall. Promo-CD available. Online mp3. CD was released in January 2007 by "Altrisuoni" (recordings at RSI, Swiss Radio in Lugano). Interview with Giordano and Marco: "Il Quotidiano" TSI1, broadcasted on 18.02.06, "Svizzera Italiana senza clichées". Playtime 17:12 - 20:02. Duo Zappa - Santilli The cello-clarinet instrumentation is unique, its sound intimate and orchestral at the same time, its colour palette and dynamic quasi unlimited. Zappa-Santilli do not only seek classical music only but also create from other areas such as e.g. tango or pop. The basis of their work is their own arranged sheet music and the immediate inspiration that arise from it. The two accomplish something very particular! Promo-CD available. Online mp3. Further information as well as excerpts from the repertoire can be downloaded.

Annaromanza - "Ci siam messi all'Opera" Marco has skillfully arranged existing romances, arias of various operas and Neapolitan songs for this trio. The soprano Annamaria Locher interprets the arias with fine distinction, colourful and with incredible pianissimi, an ability which is, in our time, seldom to come accross in the lyrical world - this because self-manifestation while interpreting is present everywhere. The clarinets (Marco) and saxophones (Giordano Muto) accompany Annamaria's neat voice with dim and sound tunes. It's thanks to her extraordinary vocal timbre that Marco has created this particular project, where he also came accross melodies he grew up with. MP3-extracts are available here.
