Recording of swinging Christmas songs

Hi everybody!I have sort of retreated from gigging this year… working hard on new songs/recordings for Marco Santilli Rossi’s new album as well as composing and arranging for myself 😉 Not to forget the preparations (organization, selection of the repertoire and arranging) for the newborn Swiss Clarinet Orchestra that is due to start its rehearsals in early autumn.

So we are in the middle of summer and I have the challenge that lies in gearing up for next Christmas! Four original Christmas songs are due by then. The big band arrangements have already come alive thanks to the top musicians of the Metropole Orchestra (Netherlands), supervised by Tom Beek:

Tom Beek – alto (lead) and tenor sax
Arjan Muusz – alto, tenor and baritone sax
Cees Trappenburg – trumpets
Nico Schepers – trumpets (lead)
Martijn Sohier – trombone (lead)
Bart van Gorp – trombone/bass trombone

and also big thanks to the amazing rhythm section:
Ivan Tibolla – piano, from Italy (with whom I’ll publish our second album next year)
Dominique Girod – bass, from Switzerland
Peter Lübke – drums, from Germany

and to Gabor Bárta – violin(s) from Switzerland/Hungary

The songs will turn out to be super catchy and put a little pep in your step.
As usual my producer Urs Wiesendanger is doing a great job with the recording and mixing at Powerplay Studios in Maur.Get a little glimpse into our works!
