The Performance:
A unique ensemble of 15 amateur clarinetists from all over Switzerland, who have participated in Marco Santilli’s clarinet workshop, will present the results of their work. Accompanied by a drummer, the ensemble will perform pieces by Kurt Weill, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Alfred Reed, John Mackey, and Joe Zawinul.
The repertoire spans a wide range of styles, from classical to contemporary, even venturing into jazz and world music. The warm and rich harmonic sound of the ensemble will immerse the audience in a musical journey that brings together all the members of the clarinet family — small, soprano, alto, bass, and contrabass clarinets.
