Follow this link to listen to the interview during the broadcast of “Il bidello Ulisse” hosted by Daniele Dell’Agnola. We’ve been chatting about the “Böögg” visiting the Canton of Ticino for the first time, about “La Stüa” in general, and giving a short introduction to the book “Clarinet Bird” by Maxi Sickert about the legendary clarinetist Rolf Kühn.

Sächsilüüte
Also “CheRoba & il Fiato delle Alpi” have the Saechsilüüte tune in their repertoire! But our version has the notes es-a-e-c-h-es in the theme! The “Sächsilüüte” is a traditional spring holiday in Zürich. Following the parade of the guilds, the climax of the holiday is the burning of winter in effigy, in the form of the “Böögg”, a figure of a snowman prepared with explosives. We own our own tiny “Böögg” and it has been accompanying us during the recording sessions at the Musikinsel Rheinau: 9 musicians, 2 sound engineers and 1 food planner – and we did not manage to get the Böög’s pyre lit!!!
CheRoba: L’occhio della betulla (the birch eye)
CheRoba’s upcoming debut album L’occhio della betulla has the most inspiring cover art picture provided by courtesy of Markus Heuer. The image of the Finnish birch wood projects things beyond natural perception. Thank you so much Markus for your inspiring image.
CheRoba! Thank you Larry
Larry DeVivo – you did a fantastic job! Thank you for the mastering of our CheRoba tunes!
