In the framework of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Kazakhstan, the Jubilee-KazaCH Jazz-Trio gave a concert at the Military History Museum in Astana on September 17, 2017 as well as took part in the XIX international festival of “Musical Saryarka” in Karagandy city and gave a concert in the City Culture Hall on September 19, 2017.
The trio consists of: Marco Santilli, clarinettist, composer and arranger Yernar Myntayev, honoured cellist of Kazakhstan, founder of the State String Quartet named after G. Zhubanova Fulvio Maras, percussionist and drummer.
Thirty minutes performance in Karagandy made a big hit and moreover the Jubilee-KazaCH Jazz-Trio got a certificate for the participation. In addition, Jazz-Trio was interviewed by the local TV channel.
In addition, on September 20, 2017, the Jubilee-KazaCH Jazz-Trio organized a workshop “Jazz phrasing and improvisation for woodwind instruments” (flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone and bassoon instrument families) at the Orchestra Hall in the Military History Museum.
The Jubilee-KazaCH Jazz-Trio also played at the Jazzy Café in Astana on September 21, 2017.
